Books with ALL THE BEST COVERS (part 6)

It’s been a while since I last did one of these series, but I hadn’t seen too many books lately that fit exactly what I was looking for in this. But FINALLY I have one.

As you know, I’ve read and reviewed Tash Hearts Tolstoy before it came out a bit a go and was a fan. Well, this book is back for this series. Now I loved the original cover. I’m a sucker for old images with writing on it like this.

Okay, so it’s only two other covers so far. But MAN. I love them. Which has me excited to see what others end up happening. They’re creative and fun and I think all of them fit the story and characters so. Another book to add to my list of books I want to buy all the covers for.

Books with ALL THE BEST COVERS (part 5)

I just finished this book and it was pretty great (ending felt a tad rushed, but still good) when I realized this was going to be my next pretty book cover post. For those not following my Listy (chasingmermaids) or goodreads (mousycherise) and didn’t see my constant live blogging of it, the book was The Wolf Wilder by Katherine Rundell. A quick library read to get my mind a bit clearer after reading so many review books of late. And I found out I was basically in love with the covers for this book. All. Of. Them. And without further ado, here they are.

(English Paperback)

Though the middle one was the original cover I saw, I love all three so far released. Why? They’re all true to the story. They add elements directly from the story and bring it to life on the cover. Some covers don’t do this – they simply fit slightly and look pretty. But these are the story. And I can’t get enough of them and want prints of them all as posters.

Books with ALL THE BEST COVERS (part 4)

I totally meant to do this one sooner, but it totally slipped my mind. Boy, Snow, Bird is a new favourite book of mine and worth checking out. It’s probably one of the more original retellings of Snow White.

Books with ALL THE BEST COVERS (part 3)

It’s been awhile since I posted the next part for this. And instead of posting another book I didn’t finish but have tons of feedback for (I’m just going to send it to the publisher), I decided to do something more positive. AKA pretty things. Always go for pretty things.

This time it’s ‘Between Shades of Grey’ by Ruta Sepetys. I’m a HUGE fan of her books AND the covers for her books. I’ve honestly never run into one that I didn’t love for her books. And shockingly, there’s a LOT of choices, so there was plenty of choices to fail. It just didn’t.

Which is your favourite? And what other books do you guys think I should consider doing next?

Books with ALL THE BEST COVERS (part 2)

Thanks to some interest in part one of this series, I decided to do another. This time, I picked A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab (if you haven’t read it, go read it. Seriously. Do yourself a favor. I will accept thank you cards). I always loved the U.S. cover for this, and then I saw the U.K. version and loved that as well. So really, it wasn’t a hard choice as to what book was gonna be next in this series. Sadly, there isn’t many of them (YET), but honestly, I like all the ones I’ve seen so far. I can’t wait to see what other versions come later on.

Books with ALL THE BEST COVERS (part 1)

On my old blog, I started doing a this vs. that kind of book covers, in which I personally felt were better than the popular U.S. covers (or current book covers). Instead, I wanted to change it up. It’s rare, but some books get all the best book covers and I wanted to share some of those here. Because I want to share some of my favourite books who win with so many great covers world wide.

With the upcoming read-a-long on booklr for Uprooted by Naomi Novik, people have been posting their copies. And I’ve found that I’m in love with every single one. Which isn’t something I often do.

So which is my favourite? Honestly, I love them all. I’ll PROBABLY tell you once I HAVE read it which one I feel represents the story best, but as of right now, I love them all in their own way. Though, I’m not a huge fan of the alt. cover, but even so, there’s something about it that’s interesting and I’d probably consider picking it up at the bookstore to at least read the back. Because yeah, I’m a sucker for pretty book covers.
